My client a school in Fulham is seeking a dedicated DT Technician. This role is crucial in ensuring a safe, productive, and inspiring learning environment.

Main Duties:

  • Ensure health, safety, and welfare in the curriculum area.
  • Assist teaching staff in DT, Construction, and Art lessons.
  • Set up and tidy equipment before and after lessons.
  • Support small student groups outside of lessons.
  • Prepare materials and manage resources for classes and exams.
  • Handle photocopying, laminating, and materials disposal.
  • Conduct routine supply checks and liaise with premises staff.
  • Maintain and repair equipment and audit stock.
  • Arrange safety inspections and assist with Risk and COSHH assessments.
  • Support Art & DT exhibitions and displays.
  • Advise pupils on project improvements and supervise equipment use.

Person Specification:

  • Initiative and ability to work unsupervised.
  • Good education and effective communication skills.
  • Willing nature, performs well under pressure, and can relate to a school environment.
  • Flexible with other duties as requested by the Head of Department or Head Teacher.
