iO Associates are currently working with a consultancy, supporting a small financial services organisation in the US. They are seeking a SQL DBA to provide both Operational Support, but also be involved in some SQL Development activities, as it's a small team who are needing a breadth of support.

This will be a 12-month engagement and operating Outside IR35. It will be a mostly-remote role, with occasional travel in to Central London. Given the nature of the engagement, it may require rare (and minimal) support on weekends and out of hours. It will be paying £350-400 per day (possibly able to increase for the right person).

The requirements are as follows:

  • Extensive experience as a SQL Database Administrator, proficient in MS SQL Server database management (both on-prem and Cloud).
  • Strong and detailed knowledge of backup, log management and restore techniques for SQL Server.
  • Skilled in SQL Server performance tuning, including SQL query optimisation and T-SQL development.
  • Detailed knowledge of SQL Server including table partitioning, temporal tables, transactional replication, change data capture and change tracking.

If this could be of interest, please contact Alex at iO Associates.

On this occasion, we can only accept applications from candidates located in the UK, with existing right to work in the UK.
