The Georgian Group - Director

The Georgian Group is the National Amenity Society for the period 1700 to 1840, and pursues the twin aims of protecting and fostering public interest in the nation’s Georgian heritage.

The present Director, David Adshead, retires in March 2025, and the Trustees wish to find a successor. 

The Director has responsibility for The Georgian Group’s statutory role in casework and is its principal spokesperson and external representative.

Among other roles are campaigning and fundraising; managing the organisation and the team; supervising educational work and publications.

An informed and enthusiastic interest in Georgian architecture is naturally indispensable, but important also are experience of setting strategy and an understanding of the non-governmental and charitable sector. The office is in London, and the role full-time.
