My client, a renowned medical / educational charity, with stunning offices in Central London, seeks a 'Director of Events and Exhibition Sales’.

The Director of Events and Exhibition Sales is responsible for the organisation’s overall courses, events and associated sponsorship and exhibition revenues. The Department consists of Events and Corporate Development teams, responsible for the flagship world congress, conferences, courses and events and associated exhibition, and corporate development revenue.

Main responsibilities;

Leadership, strategy and people management.

Provide strategic leadership and oversee the commercial and business development activities of the organisation.

Define and influence the strategic direction of new product and course development, ensuring alignment with long-term goals, enhancing member engagement and satisfaction level, and developing effective and collaborative partnerships with industry.

Lead cross-functional projects and develop new offerings by collaborating with key internal stakeholder departments to align event strategies with the organisation’s broader goals

Lead new thinking and nurture new ideas from concept, through pilot and into mainstream activity.

Lead the development of Account Management approach to commercial clients and own business relationships with key partners.

Provide expert advice to senior management on strategic and operational matters across the department.

Commercial partnerships;

Develop and lead new revenue streams through innovative sponsorship deals, exhibitions and corporate partnerships that align with the organisation’s strategic objectives.

Build and maintain effective partnership with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial and strategic impact.

Identify and secure high-impact strategic partnering opportunities for elevating profile, overall commercial success and ensure these partnerships are aligned with broader strategic direction, driving sustainable growth and positioning as a leader in the sector.

Products and services;

Oversee the launch of approved product proposals, supporting relevant business owners including clinical organisers and specialist societies and the marketing teams delivering successful uptake

Champion the development of innovative event formats, such as digital and hybrid events, ensuring that the organisation remains at the forefront of industry trends and continues to meet member needs in evolving markets.

Financial and operational management;

Lead the annual budget process, oversee financial performance working closely with the Finance team to maximise potential growth of the existing business as well as new sales.

Work with colleagues to deliver effective procurement solutions to reduce organisational costs.

Influence key financial decisions at the leadership level, aligning with the organisations overall financial and strategic goals.

This is a hybrid role, with flexible working across home and office.

Salary 75K - 80K depending upon skills and experience
