Job Description: We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Multi-Trades Technicians to join our Social Housing Disrepair team. The successful candidates will be responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance in occupied social housing properties, addressing issues related to disrepair efficiently and effectively. This role requires a versatile skill set encompassing various trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, and painting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting repairs and maintenance tasks in accordance with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Identifying and rectifying issues related to disrepair, including dampness, leaks, electrical faults, and structural damage.
  • Carrying out carpentry work such as door and window repairs, flooring installation, and kitchen unit fitting.
  • Undertaking plumbing tasks including fixing leaks, replacing taps, and repairing sanitary fittings.
  • Performing electrical repairs and installations under the supervision of a qualified electrician.
  • Executing plastering and painting work to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work undertaken, materials used, and time spent on each job.

Requirements:

  • Must hold 2 qualifications in Carpentry and Plumbing either City and Guilds or NVQ.
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the social housing sector or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in multiple trades including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, plastering, and painting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents and colleagues.
  • Valid driving license and willingness to travel to different properties as required.
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are desirable.
