Live in Dog Nanny Job, Marylebone

A busy London-based household is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dog Nanny to provide exceptional care for their five beloved dogs, ranging in size and breed. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of canine behaviour, training, and care, with the ability to manage the unique needs of multiple dogs in a private household setting. The ideal candidate will be calm, patient, and confident in handling multiple dogs simultaneously. Highly attentive to detail, with a passion for providing top-quality animal care. Discreet, professional, and comfortable working within a high-net-worth household.

(Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience working with multiple dogs, such as a dog carer, trainer, or veterinary assistant (Please only apply if you have the key requirements and experience for the search)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized care for each dog, ensuring their specific needs are met.
  • Establish and maintain structured routines for feeding, exercise, grooming, and rest.
  • Observe and monitor the health, behaviour, and well-being of each dog, addressing any concerns.
  • Administer medications, supplements, or special dietary requirements as needed.
  • Point of contact with groomers, accountable for scheduling, and ensuring invoices are sent through to accounts payable, and tracked if paying via petty cash.
  • Maintain digital health records, including vaccination schedules and vet visits for each dog.
  • Attend to emergencies onsite or arrange for a mobile vet when necessary.
  • Ensure dental health is maintained with weekly brushing.
  • In charge of wake-up dog walks for bathroom and meals (Mornings-7 am for all five dogs) and seeing dogs off to daily dog care.
  • Design and implement tailored exercise plans for each dog based on their size, breed, and energy levels.
  • Manage group and individual walks, ensuring all dogs are safe and appropriately handled.
  • Create enrichment activities, games, and socialization opportunities for mental and physical stimulation.
  • Reinforce positive behaviours and training techniques.
  • Address behavioural challenges, such as separation anxiety or leash pulling, with patience and skill.
  • Supervise playtime to ensure harmonious interactions among the dogs.
  • Keep all dog areas clean and well-organized, including beds, crates, and play zones.
  • Manage supplies, such as food, toys, and grooming equipment, ensuring a consistent inventory.
  • Collaborate with household staff to maintain a seamless and pet-friendly environment.
  • Liaise with the Chef to meet dog’s dietary needs.
  • Follow up on care when dogs travel with principles, manage international travel documentation, and coordinate scheduling of vets, groomers and/or other service providers with on-the-ground staff.

Start date: Willing to wait for the right candidate

Salary: Competitive and based on experience

Working week: 5 days a week, flexible with evenings and weekends

Working hours: 45 / 50 hours per week
