The role DT Teacher - Wandsworth
It is the responsibility of the Teacher of Design and Technology to provide high-quality teaching with the aim of helping students develop a broad base of skills across all Key Stages through practical, investigative and theoretical work and to ensure that these skills develop at all times. In addition to having excellent subject knowledge, the Teacher of Design Technology must also be able to communicate this knowledge effectively in both practical and theoretical lessons in an enthusiastic and imaginative manner.
- The ability to teach across all levels and abilities is essential.
- Follow the specifications for the AQA GCSEs and A Levels
- Developing, maintaining and stimulating your students' interest in learning about and enjoying design at all stages of their education
- The purpose of this workshop is to develop pupils' familiarity with the workshop environment, their competence and their confidence
- In Design and Technology, it is essential to provide challenging learning opportunities to every pupil while encouraging them to achieve their full potential
- Contribute to extracurricular activities relating to Design and Technology by participating in them and contributing to them
- In all key stages of the curriculum, teachers must be willing to invest extra time outside of the classroom to ensure that students achieve the best possible standard in the area of Design and Technology
