DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) / KS3/4/5 / Outstanding School / Wandsworth

Are you an enthusiastic DT Teacher (Resistant Materials) who is motivated with a passion for changing the lives of young people?

Future Education are currently looking to recruit a DT Teacher who specialises in teaching Resistant Materials and can teach up to A-level. This role will be based in the Wandsworth area in a mixed school that is part of a well-known Academy trust. Ofsted has rated the school as ‘Outstanding’ so you know you will be in good hands. This is a full-time and permanent role for September 2025.

Role expectation:

Preparing materials and resources for lessons and projects using workshop machinery and equipment
Carrying out maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in the classrooms and prep rooms ensuring safety and reliability in line with Health and Safety requirements
Providing in-class support including leading practical demonstrations and specialty class activity
Undertaking general workshop maintenance and DIY tasks including the building of new equipment and alterations to existing equipment.

Requirements:

QTS or QTLS is needed
NQTs/ECTs will also be accepted
Experience teaching DT (Resistant Materials) at GCSE level
Clean and current enhanced DBS on the update service
Up to date Safeguarding training
Exceptional communication skills, energy and a positive ‘hands on’ attitude
