DT Technician (Design & Technology) - Immediate StartLocation: Secondary School, GreenwichContract: Full-Time, Long-TermSalary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience

Are you passionate about design and technology? Do you have a keen interest in supporting students and staff in a dynamic educational environment? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a DT Technician at a vibrant secondary school in Greenwich. This role is available immediately and is full-time with a long-term contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting teaching staff in delivering engaging and practical Design & Technology lessons
  • Preparing, setting up, and maintaining equipment and materials for lessons, including machinery, tools, and other resources
  • Ensuring all equipment and tools are maintained to high safety standards
  • Assisting students during practical sessions, ensuring they work safely and efficiently
  • Managing and organising stock and resources in the department
  • Supporting in the maintenance of displays, classroom setups, and workshops
  • Ensuring the workspace is clean, safe, and compliant with health and safety regulations
  • Assisting with the general upkeep and organisation of the DT department
Requirements:
  • A passion for Design & Technology and a willingness to learn
  • Experience as a DT Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential
  • Strong practical skills and the ability to handle tools and machinery safely
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A DBS certificate on the update service is required
  • Ability to work independently and with initiative when necessary
