We are seeking a dedicated DT Teacher for a full-time, permanent position in a supportive SEN school based in Westminster. This role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about Design Technology and committed to enhancing student learning and development.

Day-to-day of the role:

Plan and teach effective, creative, and varied lessons tailored to the needs of each student, ensuring all are encouraged to reach their full potential in Design Technology.
Utilise modern technologies such as Google Classroom to make learning current, relevant, and enjoyable.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic atmosphere in the classroom, promoting a strong culture for Design Technology.
Assess students regularly in accordance with departmental and school policies.
Collaborate with colleagues to review and develop departmental schemes of work and contribute to the advancement of Design Technology within the curriculum and the school.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in English and Maths (and Science if intending to teach at the primary level).
A bachelor’s degree in any subject.
Must possess a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) certificate.
Experience in or a strong understanding of the unique dynamics of an SEN school environment is advantageous.
Strong commitment to professional development and willingness to continue learning new skills and teaching methods.
