DT Technician | South East London | Full Time | Immediate Interviews

We are working with a vibrant and high achieving secondary school in South East London who are seeking a DT Technician (Design and Technology). The school are looking for a DT Technician to join them ASAP or in September the role will be offered on a full-time basis.

Job Details:

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain DT equipment and materials for lessons, ensuring they are safe and ready for use.
  • Assist teachers and students during practical lessons, providing technical support and guidance.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring the department is well-stocked.
  • Ensure all health and safety regulations are met, conducting regular checks and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Support the setup and dismantling of equipment for DT projects and exhibitions.
  • Provide administrative support to the DT department, including maintaining records and documentation.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative teaching resources and practical projects.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong technical skills and a good understanding of DT equipment and materials.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
