Early Years Worker

Our client, a leading children's charity based in East London, is looking for dedicated Early Years Workers to join their vibrant nursery teams.


About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to work in one of our client's two busy, Ofsted-rated 'GOOD' nurseries located in Tower Hamlets (E3) or Hackney (E9). They support children from 3 months to 5 years, providing a nurturing environment that encourages imagination and growth. The nursery is open Monday through Friday from 8 am-6 pm, 51 weeks a year, with closures on Bank Holidays and a week over Christmas and New Year.
Positions Available:

  • 2 Early Years Worker Roles (Full-time, 37 hours per week)

What We're Looking For:
Candidates with a Level 3 Qualification in Childcare/Early Years (CACHE, NVQ, or BTEC preferred). We're open to considering Level 2 candidates or those unqualified but actively working towards a Level 3 certification.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement fun, educational activities in line with EYFS and Ofsted standards
  • Inspire children with engaging learning opportunities that support their development
  • Collaborate with team members and assist in cross-site learning and support when needed
  • Safeguard children's well-being, ensuring a safe play and learning environment
  • Conduct child observations and manage next-step planning
  • Engage with parents to update them on their child's progress and development
  • Maintain professional relationships with external partners and agencies
  • Follow Health & Safety policies and contribute to safeguarding procedures

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Must be full and relevant according to Department for Education guidelines
  • DBS Check: Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) required
  • Employment History: 5 years of references required
  • Declaration: Required under the Childcare (Disqualification) Regulations 2009
