Early Years Nursery Practitioner – Forest Hill – Immediate Start

This Nursery school boasts a lovely, open plan space in the desirable location of Forest Hill, Lewisham. It’s the perfect setting for a qualified Level 2 or 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner seeking a 4.5-day week, this is permanent, all year through role, to start ASAP.

The role

As an early year’s practitioner in this welcoming and supportive setting, you will be responsible for supporting children aged between 0 – 5 years old. Creating a safe and educational experience. A strong command and understanding of the early years foundation stage (EYFS) is required.  This role will also give you the opportunity to imaginatively use resources to motivate children and facilitate learning.

Full time  position (41 hours a week)

4 ½ days a week (4 x full days  8am-6pm  with a 1-hour break and 1 x ½ day  8am-1pm  or  1pm   6pm )

½ day can vary and you are accommodating for appointments etc

The Ideal candidate

  • Level 3 EYFS Practitioner
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and pedagogy.
  • Experience of engaging children with learning, through effective communication and full understanding of a child’s needs.
  • Be a positive role model.
  • A flexible, ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Passion for working with young children
