Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be working with a vibrant primary school in Walthamstow, Waltham Forest, to find a passionate and committed Early Years Practitioner. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a love for early childhood education to join a supportive school environment and make a real difference in young learners' lives.

Position: Early Years Practitioner (Level 2/3)Location: Walthamstow, Waltham ForestSalary: Starting at £90 per day (PAYE)Start Date: October/November 2024Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

About the Role:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will be responsible for creating a warm, engaging, and stimulating environment for children aged 3-5 years. You will support their social, emotional, and educational development through age-appropriate activities, whilst ensuring they are safe and well-cared for. Your role will involve observing and assessing children's progress, working closely with teachers and parents, and contributing to the smooth running of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative, play-based learning activities
  • Monitor children's progress and keep detailed records
  • Support children with special educational needs
  • Work collaboratively with the classroom teacher and other staff members
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all children

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working in an Early Years or Nursery setting
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine enthusiasm for working with young children
