We partner with state, private, and independent schools, building strong, trusted relationships with our clients.
We are currently looking for an English Subject Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in the Borough of Hillingdon to start asap. Similar roles may be available in schools in other London boroughs. This is a full time, long term position.
Your main duties and responsibilities will be as follows:
- cover absent teachers across the school
- support students who have difficulties
- deliver pre-planned lessons
- encourage students to engage with their learning proactively
- help students reach their attainment levels
- manage behaviour effectively
- provide a safe learning enviornment
- liaise with senior staff /colleagues
Requirements:
- English degree or a related subject
- must have a good understanding of the UK curriculum
- previous classroom /teaching/cover supervisor experience
- experience managing behaviour
- an understanding of leading and directing a class
- strong knowledge of safeguarding
- subjected to an enhanced DBS check (Online Updated) and 2 references on file
