Wild by Tart is a unique multipurpose space that houses a neighbourhood restaurant, bar, events space, retail store and photography studio. Set in a former power station and coal store, the 9,000 sq. ft site is filled with natural light and is alive with plants and greenery.

Job Description:

Wild by Tart is looking to recruit a passionate and experienced Events Chef who thrives amidst the hustle and bustle of a high-energy kitchen. This is an exciting opportunity for a chef who is looking to develop their career within an established brand under a forward-thinking Head Chef and team.

We are looking for an organised, responsible, and motivated Chef with a positive and friendly attitude to assist in the kitchen.

As Events Sous chef, you will be working alongside the Events Head Chef to oversee and deliver the smooth and efficient operations of the Events and Catering Kitchen.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the creative evolution and growth of the Wild by Tart Events department both onsite and externally.

Full planning, preparation, and delivery of events, on and off site. Maintaining Wild by Tarts food quality, service standards, presentation, and cleanliness.

Ensuring all key administrative tasks are completed promptly, including rotas, food costs, HR, Health and Safety compliance, and Food Hygiene.

What we look for:

A level-headed, trustworthy, and reliable individual with a positive attitude and approach to work

A passion for great food, sustainability, and people

Someone organised, with attention to detail in relation to food service (quality, portion size, presentation, and consistency)

Willingness to learn and ability to work under pressure

2 years experience in a similar role

Proactive in health and safety and food hygiene practices
