Engage Education are currently seeking Exam Invigilators to support and monitor students 1:1 in an SEMH all boys school for exam season.

The school provides education for boys ages 5 to 19 with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs. This particular role is unique and requires working 1:1 with year 10 and 11 students sitting their exams. Due to their additional needs these students need short breaks and benefit from motivation. This role is a real opportunity to make a difference to the end result of the students' education.

The ideal candidate will need to be experienced working 1:1 or with students with additional needs. You will need to be persevering and determined to help see the student through the exam. Exam invigilation training is provided.

The ideal applicant will be.

  • Experience working as an exam invigilator.

  • Experience working 1:1 with students

  • Have experience working with SEN or SEMH

  • Be confident in managing challenging behaviour

  • You will need to be proactive and enthusiastic

Your role

  • Working 1:1 with students sitting their exam

  • Managing the students breaks during the exam

  • Provide support and motivation to the student in line with exam policy

  • Manage behaviour in a way that promotes self control and independence
