EXAM INVIGILATOR  An exciting opportunity to join a world-leading university as a temporary Exam Invigilator in 2025! In this role, you'll be supporting the Exams Team and students during the main examination period by assisting with the administration and smooth delivery of in-person exams, both in paper format and through specialist software.  EXAM INVIGILATORROLE:
  • Checking exam papers to ensure all required papers are present
  • Assisting with setting up exam venues by laying out stationery, equipment, and examination papers in accordance with outlined procedures
  • Assisting with the setup and running of computer-based exams
  • Assisting candidates before exams by directing them to seats and advising on possessions permitted in the exam venue
  • Making announcements to students about the rules within the exam venue and instructions for completing answer booklets
  • Ensuring candidates adhere to rules within the exam room and confiscating non-permitted materials where necessary
  • Invigilating during exams, addressing queries from candidates, and handling examination misconduct in line with strict procedures
  • Checking attendance during examinations
  • Supervising candidates during toilet breaks, rest breaks, and lunch breaks
  • Collecting and collating exam scripts at the end of examinations, following strict procedures
  • Supervising candidates leaving the exam room to ensure equipment or stationery is not removed and that candidates exit in an orderly and quiet manner
 EXAM INVIGILATORESSENTIALS:
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with people in a customer service role
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated and able to work with ambiguity
  • Numerically competent
  • Trustworthy and reliable to complete tasks unsupervised
  • Respectful of others and intuitive to the needs of people
