Office Manager

PhoenixPlace is a specialist independent school for girls with complex social, emotional and attachment difficulties. Rated as ‘good’, we provide education across key stages 3 and 4 and are looking for a dynamic, skilled full time Exams Officer and Administrator to join our vibrant and growing school.

We are looking for a flexible, reliable and enthusiastic colleague to work within our busy school office in this varied role. We are looking for someone who shares our commitment and enthusiasm to develop the best possible provision for our children and staff whilst dealing with constantly changing priorities. 

You will need to coordinate all Exams and administrative functions in order to assist in the smooth running of the school and to maintain accurate records. A team worker, the successful candidate will  be confident in all aspects of the role and have proven Exams experience.

The successful candidate will be the first port of call for all enquirers by Exam Boards and needs to be able to communicate and operate in a highly professional, friendly manner with staff, students, parents, visitors and other stakeholders. The post holder must have empathy and understanding of students and parents/carers needs, and be able to work in a busy and deadline led environment.

Excellent organisational skills and a cheery and friendly manner are key qualities for this role. 

Candidates should be passionate about every student’s learning and personal development, able to work closely with a strong, collaborative team of colleagues and have a desire to promote excellent behaviour and high standards.

You will be expected:

  • To provide high-quality customer service for all who visit the school and work in the school
  • To provide administrative support to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership team, School Business Manager and staff
  • To be organised and efficient
  • To maintain filing and filing system for prompt retrieval of information
  • To proficiently use a PC, including using Office, email, Excel, Publisher etc
  • We have a skilled, hardworking and dedicated staff team willing to offer support and expertise to develop your own practice, as well as excited to learn from you. 

This school is located in the heart of Camberwell with excellent transport links and is close to an underground station on zone 2.
