Field Services/Onsite Engineer

London - fully office based (Monday - Friday 9am-5pm)

Delivering exceptional customer service and demonstrating the ability and desire to go 'above and beyond' for our customers is very important to our client.

You will be part of the Technical Services Team and will be troubleshooting a variety of incidents and service requests across Storage, Network, Virtualisation and Microsoft technologies.

You will provide clients with quality face-to-face and remote IT support, as well as assisting clients with on-boarding activities, using a broad range of systems and purpose-built toolsets.

As Field Services/Onsite Engineer, your role will include:

  • Prioritisation and management of workload to ensure contractual SLAs are met
  • Perform recurring periodic health checks across the estate on different technical platforms
  • Working with service desk toolset to resolve issues for customers
  • Communication with customers as required; keeping them informed of incident management progress
  • Manage own daily schedule by working through service dashboards and prioritising tickets
  • Actively participate in Major Incident Management working with all stakeholders
  • Perform in-depth Problem Management and participation in RCA investigation
  • Collaborate with relevant SME teams on complex and detailed incidents
  • Ensure system documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Hardware fault diagnosis and repair

What are we looking for?

  • Relevant previous experience in a technical or similar role.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Technologies as well as Networking, Virtualisation and Storage Including Desktop OS, Server OS, Hyper-V, Active Directory, Exchange
  • Cloud technologies - Azure, Microsoft 365, AWS
  • Experience of working within a Managed Services environment or a similarly structured (ITIL) based organisation
  • Experience in the implementation or management of company policies and procedures
  • CCNA, VCP, MCP, NCDA is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
