FP&A Manager | VC Backed Scaling SaaS Business | London

Harmonic are delighted to be partnering once again with one of the most exciting, VC backed educational SaaS businesses, in the search for an FP&A Manager to join their growing team.

The Business:Our clients business model is centred around providing a digital learning platform that provides unlimited access to a vast library of educational and academic e-books targeted at students, researchers, and professionals. Often referred to as the "Spotify for textbooks," the business offer a subscription-based service, giving users access to over a million e-books across a wide range of subjects. The key mission is to make education accessible to all.

Having achieved multiple funding rounds over the last 3 years, our client have a strong financial footing on which to continue growing, and are now looking to continue building out their finance function as a result. During their significant growth, they have also focused on retaining and developing their unique culture and values led approach, setting them apart from their competitors.

With headcount set to increase to triple figures for the first time since inception, and with ARR at £15 million and growing year on year, this is truly an exciting time to have real influence and be part of the business's growth journey. With an exciting office space in central London, there is a modern and flexible hybrid working approach, with 2 / 3 days expected in the office.

The Role: Reporting into a Finance Director who has a huge passion for their work, this role will work alongside a Financial Controller, and will have a primary focus on business partnering with departments across the organisation on specific project based tasks to add real value moving forward.

The role will have a high degree of autonomy and influence, offering the opportunity to get involved with providing strategic financial insights across all business areas, ensuring comprehensive support for growth and financial health.

Duties:

  • Provide financial analysis and strategic support across all departments
  • Develop financial models and forecasts to support revenue growth, pricing strategies, and market expansion
  • Collaborate and business partner regularly with wider team to evaluate the financial implications of initiatives and business lines.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies for various business segments.
  • Support overall financial forecasting and provide detailed reports to leadership
  • Oversee financial reporting and performance management
  • Build and maintain models for ad-hoc requests and special projects, including financial analyses and ROI assessments
  • Leads initiatives to improve financial processes and systems cross functionally.

What we need to see (essential):

  • Experience in SaaS environment
  • Experience with large-scale data and reporting tools and knowledge of SQL
  • Strong business partnering skills

What we'd like to see (bonus):

  • Fully qualified (ACCA / ACA / CIMA / ICAS / ICAEW)

Salary: Up to £80k + share options

Location: Central London - 2/3 days in the office
