Portfolio Procurement are looking to recruit an experienced Fresh Produce Senior Buyer/Category Manager. This is a 15 Month fixed term contract that comes with excellent benefits including Hybrid working (2 days in office per week), 25 days holiday, plus many other flexible benefits.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Source fresh produce and negotiate prices across all fruit categories
- Set the strategic direction of the product range and drive the sourcing of customer produce
- Evolve supply base to keep up with the changing produce landscape
- Lead regular supplier reviews and manage the performance of our supply
- Support Sourcing team, providing guidance, coaching and support to your team.
Experience :
- Experienced Fruit & Vegetable Buyer
- Strong understanding of local and international fresh produce supply chains
- Background of analysing market and customer trends to drive change
- Supplier or customer management
