We seek a heritage graduate for our London office who shares our passion for shaping the most exciting projects across the UK.

While you would be placed in the London-based heritage team, the nature of the role means that you would be working with colleagues across all offices nationwide.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work in the heritage team and collaborate with colleagues across the company. The role involves:

  • Expertise in Historic Environments: Developing statements of significance for various historic assets, including listed buildings, conservation areas, and historic landscapes.
  • Assessment & Advising: Assessing impacts of developments on heritage sites and advising stakeholders such as clients and local authorities.
  • Archaeological Potential: Preparing desk-based assessments to evaluate archaeological prospects and mitigation strategies.
  • GIS & Townscape Skills: Experience in or willingness to develop expertise in GIS and townscape assessment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Academic Background:
    • Minimum 2:1 in relevant fields such as Archaeology, History, Conservation, or Town Planning.
    • A post-graduate degree and an IHBC-recognized course are desirable.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, presentation, and writing skills.
  • Work Experience: Prior experience in the heritage field is a plus, whether in consultancy, local government, or another relevant capacity.#
