London based- Hybrid with WFH
Up to 60,000 DOE
Piper Maddox are partnering with a hugely exciting developer of renewable energy who are moving towards an IPP model in the coming years. With significant team growth this year, they are showing no signs of slowing down towards the end of 2024 and into 2025.
Their current team is based in England and covers land, planning, development, project design, grid engineering, as well as an in-house legal counsel. With a hugely stable investment partner behind them, as well as the aforementioned pipeline, our client has planned for the expansion of their established team into new territories.
Our client focuses on the development of Onshore Wind, Solar, and Battery Storage projects and has put together a strong pipeline of close to 2GW with a target of adding further capacity next year. The grid team is pre-existing and this is a brilliant opportunity to join an established player in the space to manage and expand this pipeline.
This also means that the work you'll be getting up to will be varied. A combination of both management of existing connections as well as gaining new connection agreements to expand their pipeline. You'll also be able to develop your skillset via the grid team's experience in the space as well as other senior members of the wider group.
The role:
- You'll be responsible for liaising with DNOS, NESO and TSO for new connection agreements. You'll be working hands on negotiations with these stakeholders, working on connection agreements and maintaining relationships with these.
- You'll have a hands-on role, focusing on G99 applications, various modelling analyses and electrical designs.
- Managing deadlines for grid compliance activities, including grid milestones, ensuring connections are compliant.
- Managing project pipelines, reporting to the development team from a technical standpoint.
- Stay up to date on DNO & TSO policies, as well as reporting to the group on updates to these systems.
This is a really great opportunity to join a company at a rare point of their development. They are both established, but still growing ensuring you with both support and long-term progression.
