We are working with a well known TMC, who are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Groups Air Travel Consultant to join their dynamic team - ideally you will be based in commutable distance from London; however, they are happy for this role to be remote / homebased.

The Groups Travel Consultant will be responsible for assisting clients in planning and organizing group travel experiences, ensuring seamless travel arrangements, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage multiple group bookings and ensure that every aspect of the travel experience meets the client's needs and expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with clients to understand their travel needs and provide tailored group travel solutions. Assist in the planning and booking of transportation, accommodations, and tours for large groups.
  • Service inbound calls and/or emails from customers arranging meeting/group travel
  • Develop reservations consistent with the caller's needs and within the specifications of the unique meeting/group profile
  • Exercise due diligence in seeking the lowest applicable GDS, Consolidator or Web fare, for the transportation required
  • Complete all reservations in an accurate and timely mannner, following meeting/group guidelines.
  • Develop relationships with travel suppliers, including hotels, airlines, and tour operators. Negotiate rates and secure favourable terms for group bookings.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in the business travel industry, with a focus on group travel or event planning.
  • Expert agent skills in Sabre- creating PNR's - booking flights- pricing - handling exchanges
  • Ability to work with the airline and book block space.
  • Excellent travel industry knowledge
  • If internal, candidate must have the recommendation of their department head to be eligible for the position
  • Positive attitude with a passion for travel.

The package:

  • A salary £31,000 - £37,000 (dependant on experience)
  • This role can be fully remote; however, within commutable distance to London (client meetings)
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Company bonus
