Our client based in Aldgate; City of London is now looking for a Head Chef and for their new opening scheduled for April 2025.

The menu draws inspiration from global flavours and is deeply rooted in sustainable practices, from design to food and beverage.

We offer a negotiable salary package of £60,000 per year, start date is end of February or middle of March and is a must the Head Chef has experience with new openings.

The ideal Head Chef is someone who has passion for sustainability and a proven track record of managing high-performing kitchens in London.

Experience in launching new restaurants is essential, as you will play a pivotal role in shaping their culinary identity and ensuring operational excellence from day one.

Head Chef Key Responsibilities:
Menu Development: Create and execute a globally inspired, sustainable menu that aligns with the restaurant's ethos. Collaborate with the team to regularly update the menu based on seasonal and locally sourced ingredients.
Sustainability Leadership: Implement eco-friendly practices in all kitchen operations, from sourcing ingredients to waste management, reducing the restaurant's environmental footprint.
Team Management: Recruit, train, and mentor a passionate kitchen team. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Operational Setup: Work closely with the management team to design and set up the kitchen, including equipment selection and workflow optimization.
Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and ethical suppliers to ensure the highest quality and sustainability standards.
Quality Control: Maintain consistency and high standards in food preparation and presentation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Budget Management: Monitor and manage food costs, labor costs, and kitchen budgets to ensure financial targets are met.
Collaboration: Work closely with the General Manager and Front of House team to ensure seamless service and a cohesive guest experience.

In line with the requirements of the Asylum & Immigration Act 1996, applicants must either be eligible to work in the UK or must obtain a work permit prior to application.
