About the Company
Our client is a prominent London-based developer with an in-house contracting arm, who are seeking an experienced Head of Facades to take on an operational leadership role within their business. This is an exciting opportunity to join an exciting and well respected business, to deliver on a diverse portfolio of projects, including cladding remediation and recladding programmes for real estate owners and managers, as well as new build developments across London.
The role would suit either an established Director or Divisional Head, or an experienced Contracts/Commercial Manager looking to step up into a senior leadership role.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the Head of Facades will have full P&L responsibility and play a key role in driving operational excellence, ensuring technical compliance, and winning new business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing strategic leadership across all faade and cladding-related projects.
- Overseeing cladding remediation and recladding programmes, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Delivering faade packages for new build developments across residential, commercial, and regeneration schemes.
- Managing project delivery teams, budgets, and schedules, ensuring operational efficiency and cost control.
- Engaging with key stakeholders, including real estate owners, property managers, contractors, and internal teams, to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Leading on work-winning activities, including developing proposals and securing new opportunities in the London market.
- Staying up to date with the latest faade systems and regulatory requirements to maintain technical excellence across projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Extensive experience in faade and cladding systems, including a deep understanding of a variety of solutions for both remediation and new build projects.
- Proven track record of delivering successful faade and cladding programmes, with full operational and financial responsibility.
- Strong work-winning capability, with experience in securing projects and building client relationships.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive performance.
- A good understanding of industry regulations and standards, particularly around cladding remediation and fire safety compliance.
- Commercial acumen and experience managing P&L, budgets, and project costs.
- A collaborative and proactive approach to working with stakeholders at all levels.
