Head of Data

Job Description:

As our new Head of Data, you will report into the leadership team to ensure that the data strategy is aligned with the needs of the senior stakeholders across the business. You will be responsible for managing all data platforms essential for company growth and will be the driving force behind transforming raw data into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a data strategy that drives business growth and informs strategic planning.
• Own Reporting/BI Roadmap and strategically prioritize numerous requests.
• Dive deep into complex datasets, extracting valuable information, and identifying opportunities to drive business opportunities.
• Translate complex technical findings into simple, compelling visualizations and presentations for stakeholders.
• Establish and maintain robust data governance policies and standards.
• Manage supplier relationships to resolve data issues and ensure operational excellence.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related challenges.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in data technology and identify opportunities for innovation across our workflows.

Requirements:

• A minimum of five years experience in a data leadership role.
• Proven track record in formulating and executing impactful data strategies.
• Strong technical proficiency in data engineering, architecture, and analytics.
• Proven experience with SQL, ETL processes, data modelling and Power BI.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance, infrastructure, and industry standards.
• Strategic mindset with a passion for solving complex business challenges.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage with diverse audiences at all levels of the company.
• Excellent ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• In-depth knowledge of data analytics technologies, infrastructure, and industry standards.

Bonus Points:

• Experience working with APIs
• Familiarity with general-purpose programming languages such as C# will be beneficial.
• Experience in Project Management or familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2) is a huge plus.

The role is based in our Head Office in Finchley Central. the role is 5 days a week office based, 9am to 5.30pm. After successful completion of probation period there may be an option for a more flexible working pattern.
