Are you an experienced Facilities Management professional looking for an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team? Our client, a Central Government organisation, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as the Head of Facilities Management. In this role, you will have the chance to shape and drive the delivery of operational, project, and customer management services.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership to ensure efficient and effective delivery of FM services
  • Oversee all FM contracts, ensuring they align with operational strategies and policies
  • Monitor and improve performance across all contracts, resolving any issues that arise
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, acting as their senior point of contact
  • Coordinate the strategic management of suppliers, ensuring they meet business targets
  • Lead and develop the team, ensuring they have the skills and behaviours to excel in their roles
  • Support wider initiatives and represent the Property team in important initiatives

Requirements:

  • Experience in FM contract management, including property services
  • Financial management experience, including budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent stakeholder management and customer relationship skills
  • Knowledge of asset management, maintenance, and contract and supplier management
  • Project management experience and knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience providing board-level briefings
  • Relevant professional qualifications (IWFM, RICS, IET, BIFM, CIBSE)
  • NEBOSH qualification and/or PRINCE 2 certification
