We are working with an established commodity trading business who are looking for an experienced Head of HR to join the business.
Reporting into the CEO and working as part of a team of 2, the role work both strategically and operationally, leading on HR matters, liaising with overseas offices and providing advice and guidance when necessary. This is a generalist role so all round HR experience within a similar position if essential. For this role candidates will need to have proven experience working at this level and have experience working within financial services/ investment banking.
Key duties and responsibilities will include;
- Advising on UK employment law
- Training line managers on a regular basis to ensure continually improving confidence
- Working with other areas of the business, including Compliance and Finance
- Promoting positive employee relations across the workforce
- Liaising with payroll and administration
- Managing an HR Administrator
- Dealing with employee relations as and when needed including performance management, disciplinaries and grievances
- Learning and development including training delivery and design
- Managing recruitment and selection
- Graduate trainee programme including coaching and mentoring
- Building effective relationships with outside bodies
- Employee engagement and rewards
- Maintaining and improving HR systems
- Ad hoc projects
Key skills:
- CIPD Qualified
- Strong experience within financial services within a regulated environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- International company experience
This is a fast-paced role, where you will be expected to provide a professional and high-level HR service to stakeholders and build relationships; so candidates must be proactive, hold strong communication and interpersonal skills and work to a high level of accuracy.
