Our client is an extremely successful online fashion retailer who has experienced extraordinary growth since opening their doors and there’s no stopping them yet! The Head of IT is a pivotal leadership role responsible for ensuring the secure, scalable, and efficient management of our IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will be target driven and passionate about reaching business performance KPI’s and customer expectations. You will be expected to manage Infrastructure & Networking. This includes Overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, ensuring reliable network performance, stable cloud and on-premise environments, effective backups, and disaster recovery plans. You will also make sure all systems adhere to cybersecurity best practices in collaboration with the security team.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees IT operations: Managing infrastructure & networking.
  • Leads team of IT staff and service management.
  • Designs and implements IT strategies and infrastructure.
  • Vendors & application support.
  • Risk & compliance management: Identifies and eliminates security risks.
  • Analyses business requirements for IT needs and systems.
  • Documenting and standardising app usage: works to increase user satisfaction.
  • Evaluates IT operations with regard to established goals.
  • Communicates within IT team and across departments as needed.
  • Assesses need for new equipment and software.
  • Leadership and strategy: Prepares progress and budget reports for upper management.
  • Hires new members of IT staff.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with outside vendors.
  • Manages company help desk.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Take overall responsibility for IT team management (3 people and 15 stores) and reporting to CFO
  • Experienced in a leadership role within IT infrastructure, service management, or related fields, with a track record of delivering reliable, secure IT services.
  • Must be well versed in Office356, VMWare, Meraki and Sharepoint and be happy "Hands-On" at all levels.
  • Highly knowledgeable in ITIL best practices, service management, and ensuring continuous improvement within service desk operations.
  • Sound understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases and storage systems
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
  • Solid working knowledge of all relevant coding languages and security protocols
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team oriented
