Our client is at the forefront of sports development and management within the UK, dedicated to fostering a culture of excellence and inclusivity across all levels of sport. As part of their mission to promote and sustain engagement in sporting activities, they are seeking a motivated and experienced Head of Operations Manager (Football) to join their dynamic team based on a remote basis in the UK.

The Role:

As the Head of Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and enhancement of our client's sports programmes and events. This position demands a strategic thinker with a passion for sport and an unwavering commitment to operational excellence. You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations, ensuring that all activities align with our client's objectives and regulatory standards.

You will work closely with various stakeholders including athletes, coaches, partners, and community leaders to drive participation and achieve outstanding results. Your leadership will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and above expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:Develop and implement operational strategies that align with our client's vision for sport development.

Programme Management:Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of sports programmes and events to ensure they meet quality standards.

Team Leadership:Lead and inspire a team of professionals by setting clear objectives, providing ongoing support, and facilitating professional development.

Stakeholder Engagement:Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders including local communities, sports organisations, government bodies, and sponsors.

Financial Management:Manage budgets effectively to maximise resources while maintaining financial sustainability.

Facilities Management:Ensure that all facilities are maintained to high standards and are compliant with health & safety regulations.

Performance Monitoring:Implement robust systems for monitoring performance against targets and identifying areas for improvement.

Risk Management:Identify potential risks associated with operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Educational sports tours (Football in particular) combined with exceptional management skills.

You should be an adept problem-solver capable of navigating complex operational challenges. Your ability to lead by example and your commitment to promoting diversity within sport will set you apart.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Proven experience in sports management (football) working within a Tour Operator and organising group tours is essential

Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Proficient in project management software.
