Smart Teachers is seeking an enthusiastic and highly skilled PE Teacher/Head of Department to join a thriving secondary school in Southwark on a full-time basis. This role is ideal for a dedicated educator who is passionate about teaching Physical Education to the next generation of learners. The role is ideally suited for an exceptional practitioner who is committed to inspiring the next generation of young people in fulfilling their aspirations.

• Key Stages 3 and 4
• Start Date: Easter 2025 - Maternity Cover contract, likely until Christmas 2025
• Contract Type: Full-time

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to PE students, ensuring all aspects of the curriculum are covered.
• Incorporate a variety of teaching strategies to cater to different learning styles, including practical demonstrations, group discussions, and independent research.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in the PE curriculum and examination board requirements.
• Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in enrichment activities or PE-related initiatives, where possible.

• Qualifications: A degree in Physical Education or a related field and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
