Head of PeopleBoutique Gym Brand, Central London£60,000 & lucrative benefitsA very exciting opportunity to join a premium fitness group who are home to a leading boutique fitness portfolio across London! The Head of People role is an integral role within the business as you will be supporting all of the Studio Managers and their teams to ensure a top-class product and experience is delivered.  The role will be based in the Central London office or in one of the studios, to ensure that you are seeing the day-to-day operations and can offer support to the studio teams where required.  Some of the responsibilities of the Head of People are:
  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and development of studio staff, equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and motivation needed to excel
  • To ensure that all roles have an updated Job Description and personal development plan in place via their line managers
  • To lead, monitor and action the quarterly results of our People Engagement surveys
  • To stay abreast of and support a learning & development programme that inspires career development
  • To agree and develop the operating model for the studios, including departmental FTEs, staffing levels, productivity and processes
  • Develop and refine operational manuals and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline efficiency and ensure consistency across all locations
  • Engage in regular site visits to maintain and support with operational standards
  • To be central lead for 3rd party suppliers including concessions, retail and F&B operators
The candidate:
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in an operations management role with a strong preference for backgrounds in the fitness or hospitality sectors
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and inspiring teams across multiple locations
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and strategic problem-solving abilities, adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving environment
  • A self-motivator with a strong work ethic
  • Ambitious with an entrepreneurial streak
  • A genuine passion for fostering a positive, health-focused community culture within the fitness industry
  • Master the ability to lead and work closely as a team to achieve the collective goal
