Our client, a leading UK corporate company established over 100 years, is seeking an experienced Head of Professional Standards to deliver a world-class experience to their clients. Working remotely, you will lead the Professional Standards team and play a pivotal role in shaping the professional qualifications, assessments, and routes to senior management courses. This role will drive continual improvement and innovation in assessments, ensuring adherence to principles of validity, transparency, reliability, and fairness. You will also be responsible for aligning these efforts with our client’s broader business plan and KPIs.

Head of Professional Standards Responsibilities:

1. Examinations & Assessments:

- Lead the design, delivery, and innovation of professional qualifications, assessments, and accreditations.

- Oversee examination papers, moderation processes, and accreditation procedures.

- Manage external exam platforms and coordinate examination boards.

- Collaborate with accreditation committees and oversee appeals and delegate cases.

- Develop and implement assessment workflows and technologies to ensure best practice.

- Ensure data compliance and quality standards across candidate and assessor records.

- Support syllabus reviews, course updates, and identify opportunities for growth.

2. Quality Assurance:

- Ensure academic quality and compliance with accreditation bodies

- Serve as the primary contact for quality assurance matters, ensuring alignment with institutional standards.

- Foster strong working relationships with internal teams, external assessors, and governing committees.

3. Financial & Team Management:

- Oversee financial planning and budget management for the Professional Standards department.

- Report to senior management on financial performance and recommend improvements.

- Lead and mentor a small team, driving their development and ensuring alignment with goals.

Head of Professional Standards Qualifications & Experience:

- Business-related degree or equivalent work experience, with at least 5-7 years in a management education or professional standards environment.

- Proven experience in leading course design, development, and quality assurance processes.

- Strong stakeholder management, financial acumen, and project management skills.

- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to motivate teams and manage resources effectively.

Location: Remote with occasional travel to the London office.

Hours: 35 hours per week
