Head of Underwriting - UK Liability

Your new company A rapidly growing company is seeking a Head of Underwriting to join their leadership team. You will manage Commercial products, oversee underwriting and pricing strategies, and ensure best practices through technical standards and controls. This position offers significant career advancement opportunities as the business evolves. Your new roleYou will be responsible for underwriting, pricing, and loss ratio performance, ensuring targets are met. You will handle referrals, support the Underwriting Director with data for meetings, and work with actuaries on underwriting years. Additionally, you will manage technical and pricing controls, support audits, and produce Board and ExCo packs. Adherence to regulatory requirements and participation in technical training are essential.What you'll need to succeedyou need over 10 years of UK commercial liability underwriting experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in commercial lines underwriting.
