HR Assistant

Please note: this is a part time, 6 month fixed term contract position (with the view to extend). All applicants must be available to work 3 days a week.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a reputable international law firm, in their search for a HR Assistant.

This is a newly created role supporting the Office & HR Manager with onboarding, recruitment, data entry on HRIS, research and draft policies etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Work in strict confidentiality.
  • Support the end-to-end employee lifecycle.
  • Maintaining the HR database ensuring data integrity and accuracy of employee information.
  • Pre & Onboarding / Off Boarding arrangements.
  • Liaising with recruitment agencies.
  • Drafting or updating job descriptions, vetting all candidates, including Right to Work and DBS checks and reference checks’, first day letters, exit letters.
  • Supporting the HR Director with employee queries.
  • Collating and reporting on HR management information.
  • Updating the current benefit plans with new changes; liaising with the providers.
  • Daily HR administration ie: liaising with Reception and HoD to advise of daily absences.

Requirements:

  • Educated to at least A Level standard or equivalent.
  • A degree in HR/law or similar is desirable.
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise work.
  • Commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to deal with sensitive issues.
  • Proficient (Intermediate level - minimum) in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with Document Management Systems and HR databases.

The successful candidate will be required to attend the London office 2 days a week, giving the flexibility to WFH 1 day a week.
