Role Description

The role involves providing expert advice and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices. The position includes weekend, night shifts, travel, and occasional overnight stays, with the potential to work across other divisions as needed.

Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing health and safety policies, ensuring compliance with current legislation, and working with all levels of management to maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and clients.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • NEBOSH/NCRQ Level 6 (or NVQ Level 5 minimum)
  • EUSR or CSCS certification
  • NRSWA (SWQR) qualification
  • Experience in Gas sector
  • Knowledge of accident/incident investigation and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

General Duties:

  • Advise on health, safety, environmental, and quality programs, ensuring proper implementation.
  • Provide guidance on company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct site audits, ensuring compliance with CDM and other safety standards.
  • Assist with project documentation such as risk assessments and emergency plans.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and recommend preventative measures.
  • Ensure staff receive necessary health, safety, and environmental training.
  • Promote safe practices across the workforce and report any non-compliance.
  • Lead by example, following all safety protocols on-site.
