Are you an experienced Humanities Teacher?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Humanities Teacher to join a Secondary Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Islington. This is a long-term sickness cover and requires an experienced candidate with strong curriculum knowledge. This role involves teaching mainly GCSE-level RE (Religious Education) and Citizenship.

Experience Required:

  • Must have experience teaching GCSE RE and Citizenship.
  • Experience working in a PRU or with students who have challenging behavior is highly desirable.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students with varying needs, including those with social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach is essential.

Compliance Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must provide the following:

  • A valid DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
  • References covering your past two years of employment or education
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Proof of national insurance
  • Proof of address (dated within the last three months)
  • Qualification documents
