A leading law firm in Central London is now looking for an IP Paralegal to join their team! This is a full-time contract position starting in January 2025 until March 2026 and offers a salary of £43,000 for the right candidate. You’ll work closely with fee earners and clients supporting a wider variety of tasks with a high degree of autonomy. Apply today!

This is an ideal role for an independent-minded Paralegal with solid experience in Intellectual Property and Trademark matters who is keen for a role where you can work autonomously with a high degree of client exposure. You will - ideally - possess a CIPA, EPAC, or CITMA qualification and have experience filing applications with the UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO.

As the new IP Paralegal, you will be:

  • Preparing and submitting Trademark applications to the UKIPO, EUIPO, and WIPO.
  • Compiling evidence for submission in opposition or prosecution matters and reporting prosecution progress to clients.
  • Reviewing trademark applications and reporting potentially conflicting applications to clients.
  • Maintaining records on the firm's IP management system and sending out reminders.
  • Supporting and managing renewals - including ad hoc renewal requests, instructing foreign agents and the company’s renewal partners.
  • Requesting invoices and assisting with billing.

As the new IP Paralegal, you should have:

  • A track record of success in a Paralegal or IP Support role.
  • A strong commercial and autonomous approach to your work.
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and fee earners.
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
  • Ideally, experience using IP management software such as Inprotech or AQX.
  • Ideally CIPA, CITMA, or EPAC qualifications.

In return, you will receive a salary of £43,000 pa. This is a full-time Fixed Term Contract position starting in January 2025 and running until March 2026, with excellent benefits which can be discussed on application.
