A leading law firm in Central London is now looking for an IP Paralegal to join their team! This is a full-time contract position starting in January 2025 until March 2026 and offers a salary of £43,000 for the right candidate. This is an ideal role for an independent-minded Paralegal with solid experience in Intellectual Property and Trademark matters who is keen for a role where you can work autonomously with a high degree of client exposure. You will - ideally - possess a CIPA, EPAC, or CITMA qualification and have experience filing applications with the UKIPO, EUIPO, WIPO.

As the new IP Paralegal, you will be:

Preparing and submitting Trademark applications to the UKIPO, EUIPO, and WIPO.
Compiling evidence for submission in opposition or prosecution matters and reporting prosecution progress to clients.
Reviewing trademark applications and reporting potentially conflicting applications to clients.
Maintaining records on the firm's IP management system and sending out reminders.
Supporting and managing renewals - including ad hoc renewal requests, instructing foreign agents and the company’s renewal partners.
Requesting invoices and assisting with billing.

As the new IP Paralegal, you should have:

A track record of success in a Paralegal or IP Support role.
A strong commercial and autonomous approach to your work.
Excellent communication skills with clients and fee earners.
Proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
Ideally, experience using IP management software such as Inprotech or AQX.
Ideally CIPA, CITMA, or EPAC qualifications.

In return, you will receive a salary of £43,000 pa. This is a full-time Fixed Term Contract position starting in January 2025 and running until March 2026, with excellent benefits which can be discussed on application.
