Looking for a Assistant / Junior Pre Con Manager to join a brilliant small D&B firm who work across projects in London and the Midlands, ideally to be based inbetween for easy access to both the office and projects.
Working on Cat A&B fitouts circa 1m - 3m, lots of training and support is avalibale with a route for progression to Pre Con Manager.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Project Estimation: Support the Preconstruction Manager in the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for new projects, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and review of subcontractor quotes.

Assist in Scheduling: Collaborate with project teams to develop initial project schedules, track progress, and assist in adjusting timelines as needed to meet project goals.

Bid Coordination: Aid in managing the bidding process by soliciting and reviewing proposals from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring that bids meet project requirements and standards.

Scope Definition: Help define and clarify the scope of work for subcontractors and vendors, ensuring alignment with project goals, budget, and timelines.

Value Engineering: Contribute to value engineering efforts by identifying cost-effective solutions while maintaining design and quality integrity.

Subcontractor and Vendor Management: Assist in managing relationships with subcontractors and vendors, coordinating preconstruction meetings, and ensuring alignment on project expectations.

Collaborative Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams to ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to construction.

Document Management: Assist with the organization and upkeep of project documentation, including bid forms, contracts, scope of work documents, and project specifications.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify potential risks during the preconstruction phase and help develop strategies to mitigate those risks.
