Junior Doctor

Location: Remote (Work from anywhere in the UK)

About the Trial: Our Client is conducting a significant clinical trial to investigate the effects of oral semaglutide versus placebo on cardiovascular outcomes in up to 20,000 participants with type 2 diabetes. Participants will take part remotely by completing questionnaires on their own devices or during telephone interviews with research nurses. Study treatments will be sent to participants’ homes by post. 

Role Overview: We are seeking support from at least one (ideally two or more) Junior Doctor with full GMC registration. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in the UK using our web-based systems. A mobile telephone will be provided for trial-related activities. The ideal duration of support is 3 months, as shorter periods are of limited value.

The Junior Doctor Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling clinical queries from collaborators, doctors, patients, and their staff
  • Assessing incoming information entered into the trial web-system by participants and research nurses to determine if action is required (e.g., creating an adverse event report, modifying study treatment)
  • Assessing eligibility of participants to join the trial
