Method Resourcing is proud to partner with a prestigious financial institution serving an exclusive client base of high-net-worth individuals. This is a unique opportunity for a software-driven Azure Solution Architect to lead the team in the development of a cutting-edge cloud platform.

The Role:

As Lead Applications Architect, you will take ownership of the architecture, design, and implementation of a greenfield Azure platform supporting multiple mission-critical software applications. This role requires a deep understanding of software development principles, DevOps practices, and Azure-native technologies. You will also need to understand how security and infrastructure considerations will play into decision making and have strategic discussions with Lead Architects in these areas.

This role will involve managing a team of 3-4 Architects. We are happy to consider candidates who are looking to step up into a leadership role.

Your strategic thinking and ability to influence stakeholders will be essential to driving innovation and ensuring project success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end design and architecture of a modern, scalable Azure platform (On-prem to Azure) for software delivery and operational excellence.
  • Define and implement software architecture patterns that meet functional, performance, and security requirements.
  • Develop cloud-based application frameworks and ensure best practices for software engineering and DevOps.
  • Design and build CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Terraform, Helm, and Azure DevOps to enable seamless software deployment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define development standards, drive code quality, and ensure alignment with architectural principles.
  • Define a clear cloud migration strategy and roadmap to transition existing applications to the Azure ecosystem.
  • Proactively address software scalability, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.

Your Skillset:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly in building and running software applications.
  • Proficiency in software development methodologies and tools, with a focus on modern frameworks and cloud-native approaches.
  • Strong expertise in DevOps practices and automation, including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of software security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex software challenges into actionable solutions.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with experience presenting architectural designs and strategies to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working with landing zones.
