This is an amazing opportunity help prepare for, and manage, the transition of the business from one shareholder to another. We are looking for SMEs from across the organisation to help support the development of the Business Handover Plan, the creation of a data room for potential bidders for the Successor Licence and to help deliver the transition

The role

  • We are looking for SMEs from across the organisation to help support the development of the Business Handover Plan, the creation of a data room for potential bidders for the Successor Licence and to help deliver the transition
  • Input into the development of the Business Handover Plan and various subsidiary documents
  • Build and maintain a list off contracts that will need to novate so a successor Licensee and ensure that all contracts have robust novation clauses.
  • Help build and populate a data room with relevant contract information to enable potential bidders to complete the necessary due diligence to inform their bids
  • Provide regular updates to key governance groups

What will you be doing

  •  As an Licence Renewal Commercial SME’syou will be accountable for:
  • Maintaining a contract register that enables the Licence Renewal programme to understand which contracts are due for extension and renewal when and how this impacts the delivery of the business transition
  • Identifying which contracts need to novate to the Successor Licence and which ones don’t and ensuring that the necessary novation and exist clauses are in place
  • The Business Handover Plan sections and subsidiary documents that relate to DCC contracts and their novation
  • Populating the data room with all the contract information bidders for the Successor Licence will need in order to complete their due diligence
  • Engagement with the supply chain to update them on progress with licence renewal and to explain how the transition will be managed and how it might impact them

Skills and Experience – Essential

  • An experienced Commercial Manager with a strong track record of working across a breadth of contracts
  • Experience of contract novation / exit
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across an organisation
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written) with the ability to gain credibility with senior stakeholders
  • Design Transition Plans and populate data 

Skills and Experience- Desirable

  • Experience working in a highly regulated environment
  • Experience of the energy sector
