Birchrose Associates are recruiting for a Locum Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive to assist at a reputable firm based in Southeast England starting ASAP. The OpportunityWe are partnering with a reputable, L500 firm based in Southeast England to recruit for a Locum Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Locum Clinical Negligence Legal Executive to cover whilst the firm recruit on a permanent basis. It's to start ASAP, but someone in place by mid-May latest would be advantageous. The Locum Clinical Negligence Solicitor will be required to work a minimum of 5 days per week. Our client requires someone to work in the office full-time, but flexible hours will be considered. The office is within walking distance to the nearest station. ResponsibilitiesThe successful Clinical Negligence Locum will manage a mixed caseload of matters for claimants and defendants. The Clinical Negligence claims will be against the NHS, General Practitioners, and Private Hospitals, dentists, surgeons, care homes, nurses and ambulance service providers. You will cover a range of cases for a variety of injuries including:

  • Strokes
  • Eye conditions
  • Cancer diagnoses
  • Gynaecological injuries
  • Hypoxic brain events in infants
  • Orthopaedic injuries
  • Sepsis
  • Vascular conditions

The locum will benefit from support from other Fee Earners in the team.Benefits

Requirements

  • At least 6 years' experience as a Clinical Negligence Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Experience handling claimant and defendant clinical negligence cases
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and hit the ground running in a locum role
