Altum Consulting are pleased to be partnered with a global data analytics and consulting company to source an M&A Manager. The role will sit within the M&A team which is responsible for all aspects of the M&A process, from deal origination to execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential acquisition targets that align with the company's strategic goals.
- Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Build and maintain relationships with investment bankers, private equity firms, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead comprehensive due diligence investigations, including financial, legal, operational, and technical assessments.
- Develop detailed financial models to evaluate the financial and strategic implications of potential deals.
- Conduct valuation analyses to determine fair market value and negotiate optimal deal terms.
- Negotiate complex deals with target companies, legal counsel, and financial advisors.
- Structure deals to maximize shareholder value and minimize risk.
- Draft and review key transaction documents, such as term sheets, NDAs, and definitive agreements.
- Develop and execute post-acquisition integration plans to ensure a smooth transition and maximize synergies.
- Oversee the integration of financial systems, HR processes, and operational procedures.
- Monitor post-acquisition performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in M&A, investment banking, or corporate development.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory issues related to M&A transactions.
- Proven track record of successful deal execution.
