M&E Estimator (Mechanical Bias) required for a sub-contractor client of ours in South East London.Â
Our client are seeking an experienced M&E Estimator with a mechanical bias and a strong background in working on electrical tenders to join the team. The M&E Estimator would have the exciting opportunity to join during a period of sustained growth, with more tenders and reputable new and existing business to follow.Â
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for both mechanical and electrical projects.
- Analyse project drawings, specifications, and client requirements to deliver detailed cost estimates.
- Manage the tender process from initial enquiry through to final submission.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and ensure accurate pricing.
- Work closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure tenders align with the company’s objectives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials, and labour costs.
- Attend site visits, pre-tender, and post-tender meetings as required.
Requirements
- Mechanical bias with experience in electrical tendering is essential.
- Proven track record as an M&E Estimator, ideally with 5+ years’ experience.
- Strong understanding of M&E services and installation techniques.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office.
