Maintenance Engineer The Role: Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will ensure that guests and tenants have the best stay possible and consistently deliver the highest levels of customer service, becoming a brand ambassador of the business.Location: Canary WharfSalary: £46,000Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hour shifts)Main Responsibilities:
  • The Maintenance Engineer will be required to identify and diagnose faults and to carry out repairs, adjustments and other maintenance works as appropriate.
  • To carry out the required routine servicing, repair or adjustment of plant or machinery in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule or as tasked by the Maintenance Manager.
  • To adopt a flexible approach in respect of other skills or trades to ensure the most cost-effective completion of all tasks.
  • To attend reactive works requested by guests or other departments in a timely and professional manner.
  • To perform Apartment Preventive Maintenance, ensuring the studios across the property remain up to standards reporting findings and performing the necessary repairs, ensuring they are safe for the occupants and compliant with the current regulations.
Person Specification:
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
  • Previous experience working in a modern building services maintenance environment, and able to demonstrate DIY skills, basic understanding of HVAC, and building services, is essential.
  • Experienced working within a high end residential or hospitality environment.
