Reports to the P&S Wind Site Manager through Wind Site Lead and is responsible for monitoring offloading, staging, and performing receiving, inspection of material and equipment.
The Materials/Receiving Technician is responsible for initial receipt of the clients wind turbine components as they arrive to site, proper direction of components and materials to lay-down area, and initial inspection for suitability for use.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Adhere to and/or implement Safety Procedures/protocols issued to the site that affect his/her scope of responsibilities in accordance with the Wind EHS Outage Plan.
Participates in LOTO process as required/directed
Comply with all Quality Processes
Ensures all supplier & transportation related issues are captured and clearly recorded in accordance with the latest Materials management Manual
Collect and report data for EDSR and Configuration Management as per the communication guideline
Ensure carrier management data is accurately recorded
Ensure mobile device is fully functional up-to-date with the latest software application
Responsible for maintaining assigned vehicle in a responsible manner
While assigned to a project, represent the client in a responsible manner with integrity and by exercising good judgment, both during work hours and off work hours. Manage time and assigned resources responsibly to ensure successful completion of the site goals and objectives.
Perform inspections of components
Monitor the progress of any rework done on the components when the defects are repaired at the receiving location
Submit progress reports
Dispatch material to different locations
Maintain records that fully reflect the inspections performed
Verify that all components are compatible with each other
Manage and maintain inventory
Verify that the work is completed in compliance with customers requirements

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:

Technical degree and/or college diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering
Equivalent of 2 years experience in the field
Must have a valid drivers license
Current Valid Driver's License is required
