MECHANICAL PIPEFITTER REQUIRED FOR ONGOING CONTRACTS

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter. You will be responsible for installing, repairing and fabricating piping, fixtures, and other systems. You must be familiar with both industrial and commercial systems. Upon completion, you will inspect and test each piping section to ensure there are no leaks and the piping is secure. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of one year of piping experience.

As a Mechanical Pipefitter, you will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems within our facilities. Your duties will include interpreting drawings, cutting and threading pipes, welding, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with other tradespeople to ensure the efficient operation of our mechanical systems.

Key Duties

  • Measure sections and collect materials needed
  • Review plans to understand project scope
  • Must have experience in screwed, malleable iron steel systems and experience with using a screwing machine.
  • Cut, bend, and weld materials to specifications
  • Perform tests on pipe systems to ensure there are no issues
  • Repair and reenforce broken, cracked, or inadequate systems or pipes
  • Install piping or tubing segments securely with welding or other equipment
  • Mechanical installation works to include pipework, valves, pumps, and other related fixtures for commercial and domestic heating systems.
  • Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings.
  • Cut, assemble, and install pipes and fittings (PVC & Copper Pipe)
  • Work alongside other construction professions to ensure successful installation.
  • Use of various hand tools & Power tools
  • Other tasks may be required within the scope of this job title.
